5 PROS
Greens roll true at championship speeds — consistently rated among the best conditioned in the world.
Caddie program is exceptional — most have 10+ years of local knowledge on the property.
Total seclusion — no homes, no roads, no distractions visible from any hole.
The short par 3s (3rd, 10th) are widely considered some of the finest one-shotters in golf.
Clubhouse dining is genuinely outstanding — not an afterthought like at most clubs.
4 CONS
Access is extremely restricted — invitation only, with members typically required to host guests.
Punishingly difficult from the back tees — high handicappers can lose a lot of golf balls in the sand.
No phones or photography allowed on the course — strictly enforced.
Significant elevation changes make walking demanding; carts available only with medical exception.
GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR ROUND
01
Even single-digit handicaps should resist the back tees on a first visit. The course reveals itself better from a sensible distance.
02
The practice facilities are world-class, and the short-game area alone deserves an hour. Most guests rush this and regret it.
03
A clubhouse tradition since the 1920s, served with a side of sherry. Order it before you've even sat down — supply is limited daily.

Absolute perfection
The condition of the greens was impeccable. Probably the hardest course I've played, but fair. The caddie service was top notch and the clubhouse food was surprisingly gourmet.

Stunning scenery, tough walk
Beautiful views on every hole. Make sure you're ready for a hike though, lots of elevation changes. The pro shop staff were incredibly helpful in getting us set up.

Bucket list checked
Worth every penny. The 10th is possibly the best par 3 I've ever played. Only knock is the tee time availability, but that's part of what makes it special.
