My Golf Obsession respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you use our website and how we use it. We collect the information you choose to give us — such as your email address when you set a price alert or subscribe to updates, and your name and message when you contact us — along with basic technical data your browser sends automatically (like your IP address, device type, and the pages you visit). If you accept analytics cookies, we use an analytics service (Mixpanel) to record how visitors use the site, including the pages viewed, clicks, and session recordings, so we can see which deals and pages are useful and fix what isn't working. Separately, our server counts visits without cookies: when you open a page directly (for example from a search result or a link) or reload it, it records the page, the site that referred you, your approximate location (country and city), and your browser and device type. Your IP address is never sent to our analytics provider; to count daily unique visitors, we combine it with your browser and the date into a one-way code that changes every day, so visits on different days can't be linked. We use this information to operate the site, send the price alerts and updates you've asked for, respond to your messages, and improve our content. When you click through to a retailer, that retailer may know you came from our site so we can earn a commission; the retailer's own privacy policy applies to anything you do on its site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except for the service providers that help us run the site (such as our hosting, analytics, and email platforms), which are bound to keep it confidential. We use a small number of cookies to remember your preferences and, only if you accept them in our cookie banner, to measure traffic. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page, or disable cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as expected. You may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing juan@mygolfobsession.com. We keep this information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was given. We may update this policy from time to time, and any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, please get in touch.
