Eye Mini Lite vs Square Omni: Which one should you buy?

As of Oct 19, 2026: the Eye Mini Lite is $1,999 plus $199 a year to unlock GSPro. The Square Omni is $1,599 with no connector fee. The cheaper box is not always the cheaper setup. Check the deal pages below for today's live prices.

These are the two launch monitors we get asked about most. The choice is closer than the price tags suggest.

The Eye Mini Lite is $1,999 as of Oct 19, 2026 (live price on its deal page). The Square Omni is $1,599.

But the real cost depends on what software you want to run. And the real difference is how each one fits your room and your habits.

Our take

For most living-room buyers, the Omni is the better buy if you can find one in stock.

The Lite wins if you want the Uneekor ecosystem and the deepest club data.

Details below.

The true cost, not just the box

The sticker prices hide the software bill.

The Eye Mini Lite needs Uneekor Pro at $199 a year before it will talk to third-party software like GSPro. GSPro itself is $250 a year.

So a Lite owner running GSPro pays $449 a year in software, on top of the $1,999 box. Those figures are current as of Oct 19, 2026.

The Square Omni charges no connector fee. Its own Square software is free, and GSPro plugs in without an extra Square charge.

So an Omni owner running GSPro pays $250 a year in software, on top of the $1,599 box.

Over two years, the Omni setup costs about $400 less in software alone. And it started $400 cheaper.

That is the math that flips this comparison for most people.

One exception: if you plan to live inside Uneekor's own software and never touch GSPro, the Lite's software bill drops to zero. The free VIEW Player tier includes all 19 data points. Then the gap narrows.

What each one does

Eye Mini Lite: a camera unit that sits beside the ball. Two high-speed cameras read the ball's dimples and the club through impact. 19 ball and club data points. No marked balls or stickers needed.

No on-unit display. No battery. It needs a power outlet and a PC every session, connected by Ethernet cable.

What you get: Uneekor's measurement quality in a compact box, with the deepest club data of the two.

Square Omni: also a camera unit beside the ball, with four high-speed cameras. Tracks ball and club data with normal balls. Measures club speed and impact location. Built-in LCD, so you can see numbers without a screen.

Works indoors and outdoors, on grass or a mat. Runs on a replaceable battery.

What you get: the more complete standalone package. Fewer accessories, no subscriptions, and a unit that works away from the desk.

Room and setup

Both sit beside the ball, so both fit rooms that radar units cannot.

  • Lite: published minimum is 12 feet wide, 12 feet deep, 9-foot ceiling.
  • Omni: same class. Retailers suggest about 10 feet wide by 12 feet deep with a 9-foot ceiling.

If your room clears that, either one works on paper.

Adding an enclosure? The enclosure needs more depth than the monitor alone. Carl's Place recommends roughly 10 feet from screen to tee, plus about 7 feet behind the tee for a full driver swing. That pushes a comfortable enclosed build toward 18 feet of total depth.

Measure the room before you buy the enclosure.

Software

This is where the Omni pulls ahead for GSPro fans.

GSPro, E6 Connect, and Awesome Golf all connect through free Square plug-ins, with their own subscriptions on top.

On the Lite, you pay Uneekor Pro first, then the software subscription.

If GSPro is your plan, the Omni is the cheaper and simpler path.

Availability

The Lite is easy to buy right now. In stock at multiple retailers, shipping within days.

The Omni is the harder one to get. Sold out direct from Square. Retailers on preorder or backorder, with restocks expected this fall.

If you want the Omni, be ready to wait, or grab one the moment stock lands.

On Black Friday, watch this, not just the price: the Lite is already sitting near last year's holiday price, when Uneekor took $750 off the Lite and landed it near $2,000. A real deal this year has to beat $1,999.

For the Omni, stock is the risk.

Which Square? A quick box

Square now sells two monitors, and the names confuse people.

  • Home Edition, $699 (as of Oct 19, 2026; live price on its deal page): two cameras plus infrared. Indoor only. Patterned balls for spin, shaft marker for club data. No display. 8-hour battery.
  • Omni, $1,599: four cameras. Indoor and outdoor. Any-ball tracking. Club speed and impact location. Built-in LCD.

Golf Simulator Videos tested both side by side and the breakdown holds up.

Budget tight and playing indoors? The Home Edition is a real option. Want the full package? It is the Omni.

Who should buy which

  • Buy the Omni if you want the lowest total cost, free Square software, GSPro without a connector fee, and a unit that works indoors and outdoors.
  • Buy the Lite if you are already in the Uneekor world, want its club data depth, or need a unit you can buy today without hunting for stock.

Either way, you are getting a serious monitor. The wrong choice here is not the Lite or the Omni. It is buying radar for a room that is too small, or buying before you measure.
