TGC 2019
TGC 2019, short for The Golf Club 2019, is a golf simulation game adapted for launch monitor simulators. It pairs a Windows PC with a compatible launch monitor and turns real swings into rounds on virtual courses. Its calling card is scale: more than 150,000 user created courses, plus a Course Designer that lets you build and share your own.
The game carries the official PGA TOUR license, with a career mode that runs from Q-School through the Web.com Tour to the PGA TOUR and the FedExCup Playoffs, including six real TPC courses. Game modes cover stroke play, match play, Alt-Shot, fourball, and Skins, with online societies, private matches, and live tournaments. Practice areas include a driving range, chipping, and putting.
The simulator version is distributed by ProTee United and is sold as a one-time lifetime license, with a separate license for each launch monitor family. Note the split from the consumer game: 2K removed the original game from digital storefronts in 2024 and shut down its servers in October 2025, while the ProTee simulator version remains available and supported. ProTee has announced GolfCore as its successor platform, with TGC 2019 receiving compatibility updates only.

Will it run on my PC?
A mid-range gaming PC is plenty, but 4K wants more.
These are the simulator version requirements listed by simulator sellers. The original Steam listing for the base game asked for less, 12 GB of storage and a GTX 650, so the figures below cover the full simulator build. For smooth play at 4K, aim for the recommended tier or better, and keep a broadband connection for the course library and online play.

Courses
4 answersHow many courses does TGC 2019 include?
More than 150,000 user created courses through the online library, plus the Course Designer. Quality varies because most courses are community built, and the top rated courses are generally excellent.
Are real famous courses included?
Yes. The PGA TOUR license brings six real TPC courses: Boston, Deere Run, Sawgrass, Scottsdale, Southwind, and Summerlin, plus PGA TOUR events. The community library also includes recreations of famous courses.
Can I design my own course?
Yes. The Course Designer lets you design, build, and share your courses online, or play creations from others. It includes more than 400 props plus auto-fill tools for bunkers, greens, and fairways.
Do courses work offline?
Some courses work offline, while others require an active internet connection. Keep a broadband connection for the full library and online features.
Controls & shortcuts

C shows hole data, E gives an aerial view, H flies over the hole, L shows or hides the lie grid, Q moves to the scout camera, V changes the view, R toggles auto rewind, I shows shot info, Z and X change club, and M or Esc opens the menu. While putting, F removes the flag when the ball is off the green, G toggles the green grid, and W and S aim forward and back.

No. In the simulator version your launch monitor reads your real swing. The keyboard and mouse handle aiming, club changes, menus, and the camera.
How do mulligans work?
Turn on Auto-Rewind for an automatic mulligan, or pick Rewind Shot from the menu to retake a shot.

A Windows PC that meets the system requirements, a compatible launch monitor, a TGC 2019 license for your launch monitor family, and a broadband internet connection.
Is TGC 2019 Windows only?
Yes. The simulator version runs on Windows PC only. It does not run on Mac, iPad, or consoles.
Do I need anything besides the TGC license to connect my launch monitor?
It depends on your launch monitor. SkyTrak needs an active Essential plan, and Uneekor needs a Pro plan or higher, to unlock third-party software. Garmin R10 connects through the free SimLink app with no Garmin subscription required. Check your launch monitor brand's current connector requirements before buying.

Is online play still available?

Troubleshooting
2 answersMy launch monitor is not connecting. What do I check?
Confirm the TGC license matches your launch monitor family, confirm your launch monitor plan unlocks third-party software (SkyTrak Essential, Uneekor Pro), and follow your vendor's connection steps. For Garmin R10, make sure your phone is on the same Wi-Fi as the PC, the SimLink app has Bluetooth permission, and the R10 is flashing green after connecting.
The game runs slowly or looks rough. What helps?
Lower the graphics quality or in-game resolution, confirm your PC meets the recommended specs, and update your graphics drivers. For 4K play, a GTX 1080 or better is recommended.
