PurePlay
PurePlay is a new golf simulator platform for Windows PCs that puts course play, practice, and multiplayer in one program. It is built on Unreal Engine, with its own physics engine that solves each shot per shot and per lie, using surface, terrain, weather, and lie interaction.
The visual pitch is photoreal courses in 4K, built from real world photogrammetry, with LiDAR drone mapping where a course needs it, plus realistic water physics. Courses are hand built recreations of real courses, and PurePlay says the library will keep growing as new courses are built.
PurePlay is still pre launch. It is in closed beta now, with Early Access opening November 6, 2026. The yearly license covers one PC, and each player signs in with their own account, so several people can play on the same licensed PC and keep their own rounds and stats separate.

Will it run on my PC?
A 1080p PC is the floor, a 4K PC is the real target
PurePlay publishes GPU tiers by resolution rather than one single minimum spec, and it has not published a CPU requirement or measured load times yet. Buy for the resolution you will actually play at, and check that TPM 2.0 is switched on in BIOS if Windows reports it missing.

PurePlay questions & answers
Straight answers to what golfers ask about PurePlay, from course downloads to keyboard shortcuts.
Courses
5 answersWhat courses will be available at launch?
PurePlay plans 40 or more photoreal courses at launch, and the library grows as new courses are built. It is holding the full named list while the roster fills out.
Can I request my home course?
Yes. Find your course on the PurePlay course map and vote for it, or request it if it is not there yet. Every course page has a champion toolkit, and a signed one page agreement from the course puts it into the build queue at no cost to the course. Community demand decides what gets built first, but PurePlay reserves the final decision.
Are the courses built from real course data?
Yes. They are hand built recreations of real courses, using LiDAR drone mapping where a course needs it, built by experienced sim golf designers, with real world photogrammetry.
What is the Community Designer program?
From early 2027, you can build courses yourself with PurePlay tools and get paid for every course. Community courses are planned for after launch.
Is there a paid course building service?
Yes. PurePlay's official designers build the course, it gets priority status in the production queue, and it is QA reviewed before release, so it skips the normal queue.
Controls & shortcuts
3 answersCan I change camera and ball follow options?
The closed beta demo showed ball follow modes including broadcast, static, and a PurePlay follow mode, plus field of view settings. Beta settings can change before launch.
Can I adjust green reads on screen?
The closed beta demo showed green contour and elevation options, plus a height map view you can turn on or off. Beta settings can change before launch.
Is there a published keyboard shortcut list?
No published shortcut list was found on PurePlay's official pages as of October 26, 2026, so none is listed here rather than guessed.
Setup & connection
4 answersWhat PC do I need to run PurePlay?
Windows 10 or 11, 50 GB of free space, an internet connection to activate and at least once every 7 days, and TPM 2.0 enabled.
Will PurePlay work on Mac?
No. It is Windows only at launch. PurePlay says it will share news on Mac support when it has it.
Do I need anything besides the PurePlay subscription to connect my launch monitor?
No separate connector fee is stated. Official integrations are built directly into the game using each manufacturer's own software kit, so you open the game and start playing. You do still need the PurePlay yearly license itself.
How does sign in work if several people share one PC?
The license belongs to the PC, not to a person, so the PC stays licensed whoever is playing. Each player signs in with their own PurePlay account, and rounds, shots, and stats stay with that account. Play as a guest is saved to that guest, not to an account.
Gameplay & modes
4 answersWhat can I do in PurePlay besides playing courses?
Course play, practice tools, and multiplayer are in one platform. The beta menu showed range practice, course practice, and a training center, plus mini games.
Can I play online with friends?
Yes, multiplayer is included, and the beta menu showed peer to peer online play, plus private and public leagues.
How does practice work?
The beta showed a range with dispersion as shots build up, and a shot can be deleted from the group. Course practice and a training center were also in the beta menu. Beta features can change before launch.
Do weather and course conditions affect play?
Yes. Real time environmental physics handle surface, terrain, weather, and lie interaction. Beta settings included weather choices, wind, green firmness, and green speed.
Pricing & license
4 answersHow much does PurePlay cost?
The founders price is 249 dollars for the first year, plus applicable tax, for purchases made before 11:59pm on December 17, 2026, Pacific time. After that, it is 299 dollars per year, plus applicable tax, renewing automatically until you cancel. The exact amount including tax is shown at checkout before you pay.
Is the license per person or per PC?
Per PC. One yearly license covers one PC, and several players can use that PC with their own accounts.
What does the subscription cover?
Course play on PurePlay's own course library, practice tools, and multiplayer. Leagues and tournaments are on the roadmap. Rounds, practice sessions, stats, and progress live in one place after you play, included with the subscription, nothing extra.
Is there a free trial?
No free trial is stated on PurePlay's official pricing or FAQ pages as of October 26, 2026. Joining the waitlist is the stated way to hear first when access opens up.
Online play
2 answersWill there be leagues and tournaments?
Leagues and tournaments are on the roadmap. The beta menu already showed a pro tour plus private and public leagues, but roadmap items can change before launch.
Is there a phone app for my stats?
Your rounds, practice sessions, stats, and progress live in one place after you play, included with the subscription. PurePlay is aiming to release a phone and tablet app about 3 months after launch, and says it will confirm timing closer to the date.
Troubleshooting
3 answersI signed in and my old profile is missing. Where did it go?
Nothing is lost. PurePlay keeps every account separate and never joins one to another automatically, even on the same PC. You are most likely signed in with a different account from last time, so sign out and sign in with the email you used before. If you still cannot work it out, email support@pureplaygolf.com.
My PC says TPM 2.0 is missing. What do I do?
TPM 2.0 is the same security chip Windows 11 already requires, so most PCs from the last few years have it, sometimes just switched off in BIOS. Switch it on in BIOS and try again.
My launch monitor is not officially supported yet. What can I do?
Join the waitlist and flag your monitor, because PurePlay says demand carries real weight in its conversations with launch monitor companies. Rapsodo is listed as in progress in secondary coverage, not as an official integration yet. Community connectors run through separate software and are not official integrations.
